Doggone it!

November 30, 2009

I was looking through a magazine the other day and I couldn’t believe the amount of money people think we’ll spend on our pets!
I cannot justify spending $270 on a collar.

This led me to wonder what other outrageously expensive items there are for pets.
Check out some of the stuff I found:
Cat Couch for $320

It’s a sad time of the year…

November 28, 2009

It’s a sad time of the year…it’s almost the end of the college football season.
You all know (if you’ve read my blog) that we live in Texas, and we are fanatic LSU fans. We drive to almost all of the home games…and have for 11 years.  We have 10 season tickets.  We’re deep.
I won’t miss [...]

Finally Friday! Pumpkin Pie

November 27, 2009

It’s finally Friday!
Tonight’s drink is a Pumpkin Pie.

Pumpkin Pie
1/2 oz Coffee Liqueur (bottom)
1/2 oz Irish Cream
1/2 oz Cinnamon Schnapps (top)
This is a floater, which in drink terms means it’s layered.  The easiest way to achieve this is to use a spoon while pouring the drink.  You pour the Coffee Liqueur, then you use the back [...]

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving…enjoy the day at home with family and friends.
We’ll be watching THE-BIGGEST-FOOTBALL-GAME-OF-THE-YEAR…at least in our family…the Texas / A&M game.
No matter how much I love my Tigers, this is the one UT game I cannot miss.
Happy Thanksgiving!

It may look great, but will he eat it?

November 25, 2009

My 5 year old is in kindergarten…and may be the world’s pickiest eater.  He hates vegetables, except corn, broccoli…and sometimes spinach.  Oh, he does like pickles.

When I saw these lunchboxes, I knew I had to buy one!

From www.laptoplunches.com

Isn’t it cute?
For other parents who have fought the daily struggle to pack a nutritious lunch [...]

Less time getting ready?

November 23, 2009

Have you seen the latest thing from Suave?  It’s their Men 3-in-1…it’s a shampoo, conditioner and body wash in one bottle.
Most men I know take about 2 minutes to get ready…do we really need to invent something that helps them speed up the process?
The best part, it is under $3 per bottle.
They could never market [...]

Perfect tailgater present

November 19, 2009

I’m sure all the men who like to tailgate already know about these
shoes…but I just had to share them with the rest of the world.  They have a bottle opener in the sole of the shoe!
How awesome is that??

The perfect present for that tailgating drunk in your life (I say that with love)!
They’re just practical.   [...]

November 18, 2009

Have you ever gone to a sporting event where you thought there was that one crazy fan, who was into the game to the point of insanity?  When you go to an SEC (Southeastern Conference) football game – there’s not one fan like that, but 90,000+ fans like that!

I was raised as a fan of [...]
