Since my son was born, my husband and I have tried to go out on a date – just the two of us – at least once a month.
My son knows it happens and has never gotten worked up about it. In fact, it’s so much a part of our routine that we have a name for it: Hot Date Night. 
It lets my son know that Mommy & Daddy are a couple, we have fun together and that we are a team. We forget about the bills, the chores, the stress…and remember why we fell in love.
It’s funny…one time we were at the store and the cashier overheard my son asking where we were going on “Hot Date Night“…she couldn’t help but smile.
